WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is an energy practice that comes from Japan, created by Mikao Usui back in the early 1900s. It’s based on the idea that we all have this life energy flowing through us, and when it’s in balance, we feel more relaxed and connected…physically, mentally and emotionally.

In a Reiki session, I gently place my hands either on or just above your body, letting the universal life force energy flow where it's needed most. We often hold onto stress, tension or emotions that create blockages and Reiki helps release that, making space for relaxation and clarity. Leaving you feeling at peace.

It’s all about working with energy in a gentle, intuitive way. During a session, you might feel warmth, tingling or just a deep sense of calm. Sometimes, you might not feel anything at all and that’s totally fine too. Reiki isn’t about forcing anything…it’s about giving your body the space to do what it knows best: restore and rebalance itself.

My path with reiki Energy

Reiki came into my life at a time when I was exploring new ways to connect with myself. From the very first experience, it just felt right. I loved how gentle yet powerful it was and I knew I wanted to learn more.

I joined the Energy Medicine Practitioner Training with Tamara Weiland at the Energy Medicine Academy (Energy Studio) in Vienna, where I deepened my understanding of energy work. Now, as a Reiki Master, Reiki has been a transformative part of my life ever since.

The Reiki Principles, which are simple but profound, guide me in both my practice and daily life:

  • Just for today, I will not be angry.

  • Just for today, I will not worry.

  • Just for today, I will be grateful.

  • Just for today, I will do my work honestly.

  • Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.

These principles remind me to stay present, calm and compassionate, which is exactly what I hope to bring into every session with you.

I often weave Reiki into my sound baths when it feels right, creating a space where you can slow down, reset and just be.

How sessions work

I want you to feel completely comfortable, so here’s what to expect during your session:

  • Each session lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on what you need and how deep we go. I always like to plan a little more time, so we have time to talk before and afterwards.

  • No special preparation is needed! Just come as you are, with an open mind. I recommend wearing comfy clothes and it’s best to avoid eating a heavy meal right before the session.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothes so you can relax easily. You won’t need to change—everything is done while you stay fully dressed.

  • During the session, you’ll likely feel super relaxed, maybe even a little sleepy. Some people feel gentle sensations or shifts in their body. Afterward, you may feel calm, peaceful or lighter. It’s also normal to feel a little more tired or have some emotions come up as your body processes the healing.
